Juvederm is the latest product available for filling lines, wrinkles and facial folds. A specially formulated smooth hyaluronic acid gel, Juvederm comes in three concentrations to handle every problem from deep folds to fine lines. This new injectible is proving to be the most malleable of available fillers, making it ideal for ultra-natural lip enhancement and finer lines around the mouth.

Juvederm 30 Used for filling fine lines and fine wrinkles. When injected into the superficial dermis, the fluid version, Juvederm 30, fills fine wrinkles such as crow's feet or peri-oral wrinkles.

Used for forehead wrinkles and moderate furrows. When injected into the middle dermis, the dense version, Juvederm 24, effectively fills forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines, obvious mild to moderate nasal furrows and cheek wrinkles.
Juvederm 30HV
Used for Shaping of Lips, deep folds and cheeks. When injected into the deep dermis, the densest version, Juvederm 30HV, fills deep naso-labial folds, returns volume to your lips, sculptures your cheeks and gives your face, its natural oval shape again.
Hyaluronic Acid's Role in Skin Youthfulness
The hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in your skin plays an important role in moisturizing the skin and helps to give it elasticity and tone. It is the fundamental matter in which the collagen fibers and elastin are immersed. It is a reduction in the natural hyaluronic acid in the skin over time which contributes to skin aging.
Juvederm is similar to the hyaluronic acid found in your skin. Injected into the dermis, it replenishes the natural hyaluronic acid and hydrates the dermis by absorbing an holding the water molecules and giving back to your skin its volume and initial form. In this way aging lines are quickly reduced and the lip border instantly lifted and increased, helping to preserve and restore a youthful looking skin.

Safety, Purity and Longevity
The hyaluronic acid used in Juvederm is obtained from bacterial fermentation and then highly purified, so it is one of the purest of the hyaluronic acid dermal fillers available in the world today. Juvederm is also the most concentrated dermal injectable implant available, while its special homogenous gel and unique cross-linking technology, increases its resistance against degradation.
No pre-testing is required. Treatment takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Results last 6 to 9 months depending on injection location.

Patient Preferred Combination Treatment
Juvederm is frequently administered along with Botox during the same visit. Synergistic response makes the dual product injection longer lasting for both.
Treatment Tips Pre and Post
If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another recurrence. Speak to the doctor about medications that you can take prior to treatment that will minimize a recurrence.
One week prior to your treatment with Juvederm, avoid taking St. John's Wort, high doses of Vitamin E supplements, aspirin, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, such as ibuprofen. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
Following the injections swelling and redness may be present at the injection site. The area may be sensitive to the touch and may also be slightly bruised. All of these reactions should subside within 72 hours.
Excessive facial expression should be avoided in the hours following this procedure. Sunscreen should be worn in the weeks following the injection, and excessive heat should be avoided, for example: saunas, hot tubs tanning beds. The injection area should be treated gently, do not massage or rub. Patients can continue their regular skin care regimen and apply make-up the day after the injection. Avoid using any products containing alcohol.
